We're watching- and so are other people

As you know, we've been looking at the recent head coaching hires in college football to see if the numbers of African Americans in those positions will increase.

Quick answer: nope.

Friends, it's not just me that's interested in this- although I'm not sure about some of these decisions.

First, our friend Myles Brand, the head of the NCAA who's making $800,000 a year, says that Congress should get involved. You read that right- Congress. Not the NCAA, whose only job is to monitor university athletics. Congress. 'Cause they have nothing else to do right now.

Again, this may only be an attempt to distract Congress from other matters. Minimally, though, it would seem that Miles is saying "I can't do my job", which would lead to salary re-evaluation at most places of employment.

A second option that's being tossed around: Lawsuits based on Title Seven. Let the good times roll, folks.
